The Beginner’s Guide Choosing Your Tools & Supplies for Knitting & Crochet Success

is now available to Preview and purchase your own copy!

This guide is the best place to start when you’re trying to decide where to start.

I’ll walk you through

  • choosing which craft to learn (knit or crochet) based on your desired outcome,

  • what tools and yarns you’ll need for the least amount of beginner frustration,

  • how to recognize common beginner stitches so you know if you did the right one, and where you left off in your pattern.

  • Plus I’ve included pages of references for when you get stuck on a stitch or mistake.

This is the guide I wish I had had when I first started, without a teacher to hold my hand and walk me through every step - from reading my stitches to how to correct each mistake.

Afraid you’ll make mistakes and don’t know how to fix them? I’ve got you covered there, too. Check out my ever-growing free Video Library.

If you still have questions, I’m always happy and available to answer any questions. Be sure to subscribe to my email list to find out when my virtual classes will be launching for even more personalized instruction!

Tools I Recommended & Use Personally

I've been asked many of times what tools I recommend - knitting needles or crochet hooks - and I've always expressed my passion for Susan Bates' tools.  Last year I finally sat down to type up a Beginner’s Guide walking you through the process of choosing your desired project, selecting your tools and yarn, and applying those finishing, polished touches.

Learning to Knit or Crochet is not difficult and it shouldn't be filled with discouragement.  The the tools + yarns that I have had great success with in teaching for the last 10+ years are all listed in my ebook.  I'll expand more on my favorite tools and supplies in an upcoming blog post, until then, please enjoy a Preview of Choosing Your Tools & Supplies for Knitting & Crochet Success, a Beginner’s Guide that I just released at the end of 2018 to make your introduction to this addicting hobby more fun and enjoyable.
