Last Day

I said goodbye to my job at the Craft Store on April 28th.  It was bittersweet because I really like working with a lot of my former co-workers but I'm hopeful it will lead to more time for etsy-working & creating.  :)
Unfortunately, I also had to say goodbye to my wonderful internship (upcoming post on that soon).
Now if only I could make a few more sales.....  If you have any suggestions beyond the usual, feel free to leave a comment! :)

Yuck

I hate falling behind on blogging.  My apologies.  The internship ended and of course, right towards the end, the workload picked up so that left little time for blogging during my lunch break.  Then it ended and so did my ease of internet access (I'm currently borrowing my fiance's laptop).

I have a lot to post about, most of it from the last two weeks, but I will try to spread it out so there is not one LONG post with nothing else to look forward to.  On the exciting note, I posted a new item in my shop that I made a few years ago.  I needed something cute for a wedding or something I was attending and came up with a clutch-idea that also had a strap (because I'm always forgetting things), aka it's a shoulderbag --- but much smaller than most shoulder bags.  And, being me, I just *had* to make it in bright colors.  Let me know what you think.

Coasters!

Wow!  I can't believe how many dishcloths are ready to be listed!  I think I took pictures of about 8-10 sets this afternoon, plus 4 sets of coasters that are listing-ready.  :)  I'm just about to start working on the pictures so look for them soon (hopefully they'll be up starting Monday).  It sure is nice when all those unfinished projects all come together at the same time; makes me feel "extra" productive... kind of... ;)

Happy Weekend.

Little Inspiration

I just had a wonderful inspiration for a new shop piece over the weekend.  Inspiration piece:

This is my cousin's trivet; I absolutely *love* the texture of it.

I'm thinking I'll either make a braided or crocheted trivet (or hot-pad as I grew up calling them) out of old fabric scraps.  Maybe I'll try both?

I just love when inspiration hits.  Now if only I could find the time to work on it. ...

This Weekend+Roadtrip

This Weekend we went to my little cousin's First Communion so I had a little downtime to work on shop items.  On the drive I completed two more sets of dishcloths for the shop. Here's the second set, fresh off the needles:

Good Tuesday Morning

I'm off to spin class to get my gears turning & hopefully brainstorm some new ideas for the shop.   I tried it (brainstorming) last time and it really helped me, not only come up with some great ideas, but also get through the hour without whining to myself  "this is too hard." :)
Do you like the latest coaster color?  Now that I'm finally done dog/house-sitting, I'm hoping to photograph all the newest items later today.

Rainy Monday

Yuck; I'm getting so tired of rain *every*day :( Is it May yet? (enough with April Showers; bring on the May Flowers).

I finish early on Mondays so I decided to get some personal computing done @ Panera today.

On a happier note, I just found Charis Design's note about her scrolling Etsy widget so I gave it a try of my own.  Check it out on the right sidebar of my blog-------------------->>

What are you discovering today?

See that pile of papers? ^ Yeah, that's my work for the next week...  Busy busy!

Just poppin' in to say hello.  I'm doing a lot of pet/house sitting this week/end and boy, I can't wait for Saturday so I can sleep IN.  :)  Dogs sure take a lot out of me (they have too much energy, I think).  I'm more of a cat-person: cat sits on my lap & I pet them = happy times.

Happy Easter this weekend :)
