Ah, who doesn't love a good New Year's Resolutions post? Even though I've been a little quiet on the blogging front -- because production has increased 150%! woot! -- I still love dreaming, reaching, and outlining my goals for each year.
My favorite tactic is to reflect on the previous year: what worked stellar? What needs improved? What would be a wild accomplishment? What gives back to my family and betters our lifestyle (more together time)? How am I going to accomplish each one?
Most are business related goals, because I'm a work-a-holic by nature, but I'm also listing a few personal ones to remind me everything has a season: a season to create, a season to be a mom, etc. I'm also including how to accomplish each goal realistically.
In order to apply for the number of shows that I want to do this year, I've collected my favorite responses into a Response Template that I can refer back to when I apply to each Craft Show.

With the hint of warm and sunny weather just around the corner, my thoughts are eagerly anticipating Art Walks and summer weather fun. Like everyone else, I'm ready to soak up some warm sun rays and refresh my whole life. Or maybe that last part is just the spring fever.
Either way it's time to start thinking about what spring and summer craft shows to apply for and begin building my list of deadlines so I don't miss any favorites.
I've collected some of my biggest tips for selling online and selling at craft fairs and how the two can be VERY different.
My last show of 2015 turned out to be my second-highest show in sales, ever! Even though some customers complained that they had already done most of their holiday shopping during Black Friday sales, plenty more customers were holiday shopping as well as shopping for baby and housewarming gifts! Foot traffic seemed a bit slow, but it was definitely steady all day.
It was so nice to have the Naturally Crafty group reunite for our first Christmas show at the beginning of November. We had a few new faces this time around - a cookie lady with mini cookie samples(!) & a Osbourne Books rep hosting a story hour after 1pm. We also had returning vendors Little Bare Furniture with reclaimed, handmade wooden toys, Knittedhome (me!) & Alex, our hostess, with her hand-painted signs.
I was full of anticipation for this Small Town's Craft & Bake Sale Saturday morning. My mother-in-law had been talking it up for over a year that I couldn't wait to try it.
Since I won't be doing the Art Walk tomorrow, I thought I'd share a brief review of my latest Show - the Fall Into Style shopping event. It is a fundraiser for the Young Alumni Scholarship at my high school and I've been on the planning committee for four(?) years now, but this was the first year I took the leap to buy a table.
With pregnancy nausea kicking into high gear after the Independents' Day Fair, all my other Show Reviews were hardly a few sentences each. Fast forward to November when I finally felt like I was emerging from my first trimester illness, I started to flesh out my Show Reviews before they were lost to pregnancy brain.
Now, a few months later, they are finally ready to see the light of day with a few quickly-snapped photos and a growing excitement for the new year's line up of show possibilities.
Hmm… Coffee tastes like sweet, old memories this morning… :) It's been a while (3 years?) since I can remember sipping coffee in my sweatpants, dreaming up what I'm going to blog about next. But this morning feels different; it's time to share our exciting news and I'm also overdue for "Resolutions" post of some sort. This year my 2016 resolutions are a mixture of personal and business related.
But first, because I'm not good at holding anticipation…
Hello! I haven't forgotten my blog or any of my friends while I've been absent. Actually, I've very much wanted to pop in and tell you the exciting news as to WHY I haven't been able to update social media or my blog or even my SHOP since September but it just wasn't time to spill the beans yet.
A Winner has been announced for the Mini-Course giveaway of Never Run Out Of Ideas Again!
A busy three days of craft shows means less blogging time but a surprise in sales at a new, out of town festival in Columbus, Ohio!
So if you haven't noticed, I've been suffering from writer's block combined with too-busy syndrome and my blog posts have suffered. I'm sure many moms and entrepreneurs that work from home can relate to the struggle to consistently compose new, worthwhile content for their space. Fortunately, I have stumbled upon a new solution for Writer's Block.
It's time to start building your network genuinely. Through a comment of encouragement, feedback in a poll or sharing someone's content that you loved, you have many options to show your support + encourage others + build your network.
I'm so excited to be participating in byRegina's EPIC month-long conference #GoIndependent. It is perfectly geared toward Bloggers + Infopreneurs but I am loving all the content + inspirations it has helped me develop for Knittedhome's brand.
Originally posted as a comment reply on byRegina's page, I realized these tips are a great reminder still that being a SAHM + WAHM IS possible. So today I'm sharing these off-the-cuff tips in case they can make a different in your life.
Introduced by a mutual friend, Julia from Positively Glamorous + I chat about my "roots" as a knitter + crocheter and what it's like being a mom-preneur.
A quick note to announce that Shutter Love, a local photography studio & baby boutique is now carrying Knittedhome baby mittens & the Granny Chevron baby blanket (made to order).
This is just a list of things I have left to accomplish before I can start listing items in my shop. If you have something to add to the list, please feel free to leave it in the comments section. I am writing this list to help keep me on track. I'm a very visual person.
I had no idea what to write, but this post was my “Hello World” as I started my blog to document my fledgling Etsy shop and its growth.
