Progress on the Homemade Christmas List

Nothing new to post about the shop since last week. But the homemade Christmas presents list are starting to get crossed off and I can see the light at the end of the (quickly ending) tunnel :) Four presents in different stages of progress & two more to start.

Bonus: I already have four presents wrapped & all my Christmas shopping (minus ONE present) is DONE! :-D yay!

This is the first year I've been this ahead of the game, so I'm allowing myself a little pride in the fact, hehe.

How is your holiday shopping going?

*Gasp!*

Look what came in the mail today!!

I have to say,

Kim

is amazingly awesome and such a sweet friend.  I can't believe she would take it upon herself to not only send me my favorite cell cover but ALSO make me a custom piece made to my phone's non-specific (neither of us are measurement-savy, hehe) measured phone-->and it fits perfectly!  Figure that one out, :)  Thanks Kim!  You are such an amazing person!  Yay for surprises in the mail :)

Self-Portraits?

I used the timer on Dan's camera for the first time last week to take some scarf pictures.  As I got really cold  & also started taking pictures of the hats, I realized I could sit closer to the camera (and not have to run back and forth for each picture) and take quicker pictures (which was fun).  Here's one of my favorites that won't make it in the listing (because it is missing the essential part--the hat!):

What fun things have you discovered lately?

My First Etsy Sale!

I had my first (4!) sales yesterday! :)  I signed up for the Etsy App that sends you a text message when an item in your shop sells.  But when I got the first message last night at the grocery store, I definitely was not expecting it.  I was still in shock (I had reached another personal milestone) when the next THREE text messages beeped and opened on my phone screen.   ...!!!  I couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear for the rest of the night.  :)
Thank you to my First Sale!  You made my night.  And now I'm curious about you since you just joined Etsy last night... Do I know you?

Knitted Cuff Anyone?

This was originally suppose to be my next scarf project so I could attempt a "braided" look using cables... until I got bored with the scarf idea... Next thing I know, it's laying across my wrist & my brain screams: "what a cool bangle/bracelete/cuff?"

AND its really warm!  I normally have ice-cold fingertips ALL winter--but not this time!  Soon after finishing it and trying it on, I could feel the heat return to my fingertips :)  A new twist on the wrist warmer?!

And the Winner IS.........

Kim from Charis Designs!!!

Congratulations, Kim!!  Thank you so much for all your posting & commenting!  You've been a wonderful friend and follower.  I can't wait to hear how much you love your new scarf, hopefully see a few pictures of you with it?  (a gal can dream...)  Thank you to everyone else who entered and I can't wait for the next giveaway--hopefully in a few more months to welcome the New Year.

But! in order to have another giveaway, I need EVERYONE'S help:  Help this blog reach 50 followers by Dec. 30th and I will announce the next giveaway Dec. 31st.  I hope you can help me reach this goal!
